Israelis and Palestinians are the two disputing sides over this city, where Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions and Palestine ultimately foresees it as its seat of power. Due to the weak political and military position of the Palestinians, Israel and its allies (particularly the United States of America) are attempting through various means to claim Al-Quds to belong to the Zionists.
