Imam Reza (AS) International Festival, An Event for Gatherig Shiite Scholars Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, as can find it as follows: On the occasion of the 13th International Imam Reza (AS) Festival we organized an interview with Dr. Seyed Muhammad Hussein Hashemi, Cultural Deputy of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, as you can find it as follows:
1. How do you assess the role of International Imam Reza (AS) Festival in identifying and introducing authors and creators of cultural and artistic works related to Imam Reza (AS)? There are several points that must be emphasized here, first of all ICRO, which according to Ayatollah Khamenei plays as a tactical fortress to transfer Islamic Republic's capacities to overseas, follows its mission in two national and international levels through holding this festival. ICRO uses its total capacity to perform its international mission and tries to transfer this festival to everywhere lovers of Imam Reza (AS) live through identifying and inviting institutes with sufficient capability and capacity in international level and taking advantage of their capacity; as more than 70 countries and 200 points in the world have been mobilized for this mission. In the international level, ICRO tries make international the current capacities through selecting the best artistic works and artists by running competitions and dispatching their works to overseas.
2. Would you mind explaining about considerations planned under you management area for deepening and promoting Razavi culture? Very high level documents of Islamic Republic of Iran regime have made committed ICRO to fulfill the mission of introduction and promotion of the truly Islam and teachings of Infallible Imams of Shia based on the regime's capacities. This year is the first year of holding international Razavi festivals in Tehran which are hold independently and its approach is incorporating local capacities in the world. International Assembly of RazaviSevants and the first International Razavi Women, participated with Al-Mustafa International University and AhlulBayt World Assembly and other entities, have revived hopes to extend the international affairs of the festival. The main mission and objective of this festival is promoting the pure and truly teaching of the sole infallible Imam of Shia who burnt in Iran.
3. What is your prediction, as the head of international council of the festival, to improve the festival's programs? First, the ongoing survey and monitoring can guarantee the improvement of programs. In this regard, the international council holds several session to criticize and finding weak points of programs every year after finishing the festival and before staring the next year's programs. Second, all programs need to be improved based on viewpoints of users and audience groups of the festival on the one hand and based on available programs, cultural materials and other facilities on the other hand. We have at least three groups of audience out of Iran who can take advantage of the Razavi culture. The first group is Iranians who live in other countries; according to the recent estimations they are 6 million people who for many reasons have selected countries for living but their hearts are full of affection and love of Infallible Imams. What is interesting about this group is that they can enjoy our national programs and they can take advantage of all programs that are designed and implemnted by thirty Iranian organizations. The second group is Shiites and followers of Infallible Imams of Shiism who are scattered across the whole globe and are looking for Islamic Republic of Iran. They are scattered from Kashmir to Mumbai and Delhi and Gujarat and Hyderabad to Lahore and northern Pakistan to Kenya, Tanzania and Southern Africa, London, Manchester and Detroit and Eastern Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Qatar. The Islamic Iran is their Utopia and they consider Iran as their religious shelter, hence we are committed to meet their needs as far as possible. The third group is Sunni Muslims who love the Holy prophet of Islam (PBUH) and his household and respect Imam Reza (AS) as his era's scholar and offspring of Holy Prophet. They constitute the majority of Sunnis. Al-Ahadithwrote by Imam Reza (AS), which was published by Bonyad Press last year, was welcomed by the Sunni's scientific society. 4. How do you define Imam Reza's (AS) immigration and achievements of such immigration in establishment of the great Islamic civilization in Iran? I believe that the historical immigration of Imam Reza (AS) was the start point of the Islamic civilization in Khorasan and Khwarazm Region. Its outcomes are not restricted to spiritual and ethical waves in the time society, but it founded the culture of religious conversations. I hope that this festival grows and develops every year in order to be able to promote school of Imam Reza (AS).
